| Book Description | This is the conclusion of what Simon the son of Zachary, also known as Simon the Egyptian, wrote about the events of the Children of Israel in the Wilderness of Sin, and their deeds from the crossing of the sea until the death of Moses, son of Imran. Know that I have only written one of two things on these parchments: something I witnessed with my own eyes or something I heard from a trustworthy man. I call the Lord (El) to witness that I did not seek glory or honor with this book, but rather to express my testimony about a generation of the people of the Children of Israel, whom God chose and miraculously saved from their enemy, only to be angry with them and destroy them in that desolate wilderness, after He had made them taste the misery of their journey and the bitterness of their wanderings. This is a book whose reader I do not know. Whoever you are, I hope you will remember the writer of these chapters with compassion and pray for his forgiveness.
