Book DescriptionComprehensively matched to the Cambridge IGCSE syllabus for final examination in 2019, this thematic and literature-based approach helps students develop key skills and knowledge, make cross-curricular connections and think critically across a huge range of text types. Closely supported by digital teacher resources and a skills-focused Workbook, the complete package of resources thoroughly equips you to tackle the Cambridge IGCSE course and assessment. A new edition for the latest Cambridge syllabus, for examination from 2020, will be available in 2018.
Editorial ReviewComplete First Language has core and extended exercises, and also advice for the student on how to plan and write, along with the self-evaluation at the end of each unit which focuses them on exam skills. The texts are varied and interesting and I like the extension texts at the end of each unit. Also there are plenty of speaking activities which is great. There are some excellent activities on the CD ROM too. My first impression is that the resources are very useful and user friendly - certainly more so than any of the other text books which I've seen for First Language English. * Helen Leathem, Secondary English Teacher- St Anne's School, Spain * This week we received a copy of First Language English for Cambridge IGCSE and it was 'love at first sight!' It was definitely what we were needing at our school. Thank you very much for your service and the quality of your material! I am going to share it with another head from another school since they are needing the same type of resources. * Marcela Logioio, Head of English Primary and Director of Studies in Secondary School - Colegio Rio de la Plata, Argentina *
