[Prerequisites for use]

(1) Only Thunderbolt ports can be used, other ordinary USB-C ports cannot be used.

(The USB-C with a lightning icon with an arrow is the Thunderbolt port, and those with double "ss", "DP", and "usb-pd" cannot be used.)

(2) The host system must be able to turn off the "DMA protection" and "VT-D/X" virtualization switches. (Left-click the WIN icon on the desktop, enter "msinfo32.exe", scroll to the middle bottom, and check the DMA protection switch status.)

[Check the available status]

1. Thunderbolt port confirmation (three methods, multiple methods are recommended for confirmation):

(1) Interface appearance: The USB-C with a lightning icon with an arrow is the Thunderbolt port, and those with double "ss", "DP", and "usb-pd" cannot be used.

(2) Device Manager->System Devices->Search for the "Thunderbolt" option. If you can find it, it is available.

(3) Confirm through official customer service or platform search.

2. Confirm whether the switch is turned off:

(1) Left-click the WIN icon on the desktop, enter "msinfo32.exe", scroll to the middle bottom, and check the DMA protection switch status and virtualization switch confirmation.

(2) If it is turned off, ignore it.

(3) If it is turned on, find a way to turn it off.

(4) Please study how to turn it off (you can search for keywords such as "unlock bios" and "turn off dma protection") or find a professional to handle it.

[Possible problems]

1. Wiring problem: Do not insert the board incorrectly. The gold finger notch is divided across the card slot, and the data cable and the lightning cable are output on the same side.

2. Non-Thunderbolt port problem: Make sure there is a Thunderbolt port. Please use multiple methods to ensure that the port is a Thunderbolt port;

3. Protection switch problem: If the protection switch is not turned off, it cannot be used. Make sure that all switches are turned off before using;

4. Board firmware problem: The factory firmware cannot measure the speed. It is recommended to ask the merchant to refresh the firmware and re-measure the speed. If there is a firmware compatibility problem, remember to try to refresh the firmware multiple times;

5. Host Thunderbolt driver problem: Some specific versions of Thunderbolt drivers have defects. Please find a way to upgrade the driver version. (It is recommended to use version 1137 of Thunderbolt driver)

6. Specific version of operating system problem: Some versions of operating system have compatibility defects with Thunderbolt drivers. You can replace a specific version of operating system to solve the problem. (It is recommended to upgrade to Win11 21H2 version to solve the problem)

Note:

(1) Under normal circumstances, the two blue lights of the docking station are always on, and the edge signal light may flash.

(2) When both lights are off, there may be an abnormality. Check whether the Thunderbolt driver exists, or contact the merchant for assistance.
