The squid game Black Mask Horror is inspired by the story of a man who has failed in life for various reasons, but suddenly received a mysterious invitation to participate in the survival game to win ten million dollars. The game takes place in an unknown location and the participants are locked in until there is an eventual winner. The story will incorporate popular Korean children's games of the 1970s and 1980s, such as squid, a literal translation of its Korean name, which is a label for offense and defense using squid-shaped plates drawn in dirt.
