Remote Control Relay, Star-Delta Connection

Star-delta time relays are designed to be used in the first starting of three-phase motors. When the coil is energized, it switches to star connection to enable the motor to start. The star remains connected for the set time and then goes to standby. When the waiting period expires, it enables switching to triangle connection. Thus, it provides efficiency by reducing the current drawn by engines using high power during start-up.
