The GS1 CGM device is designed for continuous monitoring of glucose levels in interstitial fluid for patients aged 18 years and older. Glucose levels are measured by a factory-calibrated electrochemical sensor, which does not require fingerstick calibration. The sensor is a single-use device that can be worn for up to 14 days by one user. The glucose readings obtained and the resulting glucose reports are used for blood sugar management, but they should not be used as the sole basis for treatment decisions or therapy adjustments.
