| Dr. Osama Abdel Raouf El Shazly is an Egyptian physician, writer, and novelist, born in 1974. He obtained his PhD in Orthopedic Surgery from Ain Shams University in 2007. He also obtained a fellowship in fracture treatment from Germany in 2005. He currently works as a professor of orthopedic surgery at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University. He served as Secretary-General of the Egyptian Medical Fellowship and Director-General of the National Training Institute for three years. He is considered a pioneer in foot and ankle surgery in Egypt and the Arab world. He has published eighteen international research papers, and a book on surgery was published by a German publishing house in 2011. He works as a reviewer for several international scientific journals. He has a keen interest in literature and history, and in addition to his academic work, he teaches the history of medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University, and also at the University of Barcelona. He has written short stories and articles for several newspapers and has given numerous lectures on literature and history. His book, "A Journey to Gog and Magog," was published in 2012. |
