Connecting to your PC, the USBee AX Test Pod uses the speed and power of the USB 2.0 bus to capture and control analog and digital information from your own hardware designs. USBee AX takes advantage of available computer resources by streaming data to the PC over the high-speed USB 2.0 bus. This allows the PC to handle all triggering and data storage, enabling an affordable USBee AX while taking sample storage capacity orders of magnitude beyond traditional dedicated oscilloscopes, logic analyzers or signal generators. The USBee AX Test Pod can use existing PC memory as sample buffer and provide selectable sample depths from one million to millions of samples.
The USBee AX Test Pod can capture and produce up to 24 million samples per second, depending on the PC configuration. The USBee AX Auto Calibration feature automatically lowers the sampling rate to ensure accurate and reliable timing, even on systems with slow processor and USB bus speeds. The USBee AX Test Pod features and functions perfectly combined to provide exactly the required performance for hardware and microprocessor designs such as BASIC Stamp and PIC systems to provide an affordable and compact unit.
The USBee AX Test Pod does not need an external power source. The USB bus powers the pod, so your PC will provide power. However, if a hub is used between the PCod and the Pod, the Pod requires a self-powered hub.
