With action varying from tumultuous chase scenes to quiet secret meetings, the book skillfully uses color to impart mood. This title is suitable for fans of Ben Hatke's "Zita the Spacegirl" series (First Second) and Jeffrey Brown's "Jedi Academy" (Scholastic) who are ready to move on to older characters and more complex images. Younger devotees of Jeff Smith's "Bone" (Scholastic) may also it. He’s contributed to several books, including Sensation Comics Featuring Wonder Woman; Parable; Jim Henson’s The Storyteller; Cow Boy; Geeks, Girls, and Secret Identities; and Comic Book Tattoo. The first book in the Cleopatra in Space series, Target Practice, was a Florida Book Award winner, a YALSA Great Graphic Novel for Teens, and a YALSA Quick Pick.
