Arduino LCD Keypad Shield This very popular LCD shield designed by DF Robot is fully compatible with Arduino boards such as Arduino Uno and Mega. It has a 2x16 LCD and a 5 button keypad. The power pins on the board, A1, A2, A3, A4 and A5 analog pins and 13,12,11,3,2,1 and 0 digital pins can be transferred out for external use. The A0 pin is used for analog readings from the keys. The LCD contrast setting can be adjusted on the card. With this, the LCD's backlight feature can be made passive. You can use the buttons for directional operations such as right, left, up and down and also for the selection function. The reading of all buttons is done via only 1 analog pin.
