For Mac OS, the SSD format needs to be set into exFat. Before formatting your SSD, please confirm there is data backup.

When M.2 NVMe SSD is running, it will generate too much heat, which will be transferred to the enclosure itself to protect your SSD. The temperate of the enclosure will cool down gradually, so do not worry about it.
