| About the Author | Max Bell is an experienced freelance journalist and broadcaster across Scunthorpe and the local area; with a particular focus on sport and its impact on the community. He has previously presented BBC Radio Humberside's 'SportsTalk' phone-in shows, and has been a regular expert summariser for their live coverage of Scunthorpe United matches since 2016. He writes a weekly column on the Iron for the Scunthorpe Telegraph, and also writes frequently for its sister edition in nearby Grimsby. He has previously written for ITV, FourFourTwo, the Guardian and a number of well-respected online football publications. Max is a lifelong Scunthorpe United fan, went to school and college in the town, and is still found every home in the Iron Bar and on the Donny Road End. |
