OverviewFounded in 1825, the Bormioli Rocco company is today divided into two business areas, Tableware and Glass block, with 3 production plants, 2 decoration studios, 6 commercial branches and 6 single-brand stores. Bormioli Rocco exports its products to more than 100 countries in the world and represents one of the most important glassworks on the international scene. The Bormioli family moves from Altare (Savona) to Fidenza (Parma) where the first glassworks is established. We are up to 300 staff members and we begin to produce food containers. The Fidenza Vetraria (Fidenza Glassworks) is established. It will be later acquired by Bormioli Rocco only to become their most important factory. The technology that permits the production of fine pulled stem glasses is developed. The Glassblock project begins in the Spanish manufacturing plant, the production of glass bricks for the construction industry begins.
