Runner Bean Seeds Moonlight are a unique Runner/French Bean cross, bred for improved pollination! A RHS Award for Garden Merit Winner, theyâ€ll reliably produces masses of flowers that self-pollinate well, ensuring good set even in poor weather and a bumper crop of delicious, smooth, stringless pods! A good source of vitamin C, folate and iron plus fibre. Some vitamins can be lost during cooking, so cook for a minimum time only. Sow April to June. Plant June. Harvest July to mid-October. Prolific, decorative plants thriving in well cultivated soils containing plenty of humus. Regular watering in dry periods will be amply rewarded by a heavy crop. Sow in April under glass or cloches, or outdoors in May and June. (12-16 weeks maturity). A packet of seed is enough for a double row of approximately 4.5m (15').
