Encoder (Rotary Encoder) can be called an electromechanical device that produces an electrical signal in response to detected movement. They are electromechanical devices that detect the rotational or translational movement of the shaft to which they are connected, thanks to magnetic, mechanical, resistive and optical technologies, and produce a digital electrical signal from this detected data and give analog or digital output. In projects requiring high precision, it converts the position, rotation direction, movement speed and axis of a motor into an electrical signal and presents it to the user. Encoders are available in different types according to different usage purposes: linear encoder and rotary encoder.
Optical Detection Encoder, which is the most preferred and widely used thanks to its usage advantages, produces an electrical signal depending on the interruption of the reflected light, thanks to the optical source inside the device.
