The blue Jacaranda is cultivated in almost every temperate part of the world. Established trees, however, tolerate brief spells of temperatures down to around −7 °C. In the UK they are hardy to parts of the South West as well as urban areas. Elsewhere they can be grown in large pots and brought indoors or given protection in winter until more mature. This plant has won the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit. Jacaranda are also hugely popular as bonsai specimens - for good reason as they are relatively easy to work with, pest & disease free and of course produce stunning blue flowers.
