Sterling special base oil is an oil produced with additives that provides machine lubrication and rust protection. 

Weapon Care Spray (Black)

It is a strong cleaning material used to clean machine parts, weapons, repair areas and garages from oil and dirt caused by oil. If the parts are to be protected from rust, the parts should be air dried after sterling (black) is applied. Non-metal parts should be rinsed 15 minutes after sterling (black) is applied.

After first cleaning and rinsing your fishing rod and rod rings with sterling black oil, you can maintain your machine with a protective oil using green sterling or thin oil.
