Dip powder application is thicker, therefore stronger, than gel polish making it ideal for thinner or weaker nails. What is the difference between dip powder and acrylic? Dip powders are a finely milled powder that combine properties of acrylic and gel. Like gel, dip powder nails are flexible. Like acrylic, dip powder nails are durable and long-lasting. Can I apply gel nail polish on top of dip powder? Yes, you can apply gel polish over dip powder. Make sure to apply a base coat on the finished dip powder nails so there is a smooth surface to apply gel nail polish on to. How can I make sure my nails do not lift? Lifting is almost always due to improper prep. When prepping, make sure there is no dead skin or moisture on the nail plate that can interfere with adhesion. Make sure to use the Color Dip Prep product before application. How do I restore my brushes? Use our Brush Softener to restore brushes when they become stiff, sticky, gunky, or contaminated.
