Easy-to-Use Melt and Pour Soap Bases

Melt - Determine the amount of base you need. Cut the block into 1-inch cubes, and microwave until completely liquid.

Mold - If you want, you can add skin-safe color and fragrance. Mix and pour into your preferred mold. Spritz with alcohol for a smooth, bubble-free finish. Let it cool until fully hardened.

Saponify was born in a basement turned "soap factory" in Maryland. After our founder, Natalie, discovered that the materials she was using for her small soap business were bad for the environment and harsh on skin, she began experimenting with earth-friendly ingredients.

After more than a year of experimentation, she finally found the right blend of ingredients and the perfect process. Her recipe is the foundation of all Saponify soap bases.
