In order to make full use of its smart functions, the home must be equipped with a ZigBee gateway (TESLA Smart ZigBee Hub). Smart products communicate with each other via the ZigBee protocol, similar to Wi-Fi. The huge advantage of this technology, however, is its low energy consumption, which means that the sensors can last up to a year on a single battery. The system allows a network range of up to 50 m and is very stable.
