HOW SOLAR LIGHT WORKS Solar light has a solar panel that converts sunlight into electricity. During the day, the electricity converted by the solar panel is stored in the rechargeable battery. At night, the solar light glows using the electricity stored during the day. The operating time depends on geographical location, daily weather conditions and season. SPECIFICATIONS Solar panel: The panel is coated with a UV inhibitor coating. 2. Battery: This type of solar rechargeable battery will need to be replaced approximately every year, depending on use. 3 The product includes 1 ultra bright LED lights. LED's are highly efficient source of light compared to other types of bulbs and they do not need to be replaced. On average, LED's will last for approximately 50,000 hours. Operating time: Put the item in full sun to power the light up to 8 hours of continuous lighting. CHOOSING THE RIGHT LOCATION FOR YOUR FIXTURE Select a location with full, direct sunlight. Do not install in shady areas as it will not allow the battery to be fully charged and will reduce nighttime working hours. The fixture should receive a minimum of 8 hours of sunlight per day for optimal performance at night. ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION 1. Remove all contents from package. 2. Attach fixture Lamps and ground stake together and move the switch to on. 3. Hold the fixture upright in the desired firm ground nd rotate it so the fixture is facingin the desired direction. Place hands around the leg section and the feet above the ground stake, then push down firmly to drive the stake into the soil until the is pressed 12 against the ground. * Periodic maintenance will help extend battery life. Every 3 months open the battery compartment and rotate the battery (about 5 complete spins) with your fingers. This will help improve the electrical conductivity of the battery. TROUBLE SHOOTING TIPS If your solar light does not tum on at night or its nightly run time is shorter, it may be caused by one of the following conditions: Battery is not fully charged. Make sure the light is placed in an area where the solar panel gets the maximum amount of full, direct sunlight everyday. If the solar panel does not receive enough sunlight during the day (e.g. due to cloudy or overcast weather conditions), it will be recharged on the next sunny day and resume operation. 2. Direct sunlight: Ensure that the fixtures are not installed in a shady area, for example, in the shadow of a tree or a house. 3. The rechargeable nickel-metal hydride (Ni-MH) battery may need to be replaced. The battery may be replaced with most brands of AAA size Ni-MH rechargeable battery. Do not use non-rechargeable battery or any rechargeable battery other than Ni-MH. 4. Make sure the switch is in "ON" position. CAUTION: CONTAINS NICKEL-METAL HYDRIDE BATTERY. BATTERY MUST BE RECYCLED OR DISPOSED OF PROPERLY.
