HL-1340E Remote Control User ManualHL-1340E product is a learning universal remote control for TV, DVD, STB. Tips
In case of low battery, the indicator light does not turn on and the learning process does not occur normally. You can only control your device after completing the remote control learning process. Make sure to point the remote control directly at the device and that there are no obstacles between the remote control and the device. Do not use old and new batteries or different models of new batteries together. In case of battery leakage, remove the batteries, wipe the battery compartment clean: And insert new batteries. If this remote control will not be used for a long time: Please remove the batteries.
Learning Steps
Teaching the TV remote control First of all, this learning remote is called Remote B and your original remote to be duplicated is called Remote A. During the entire learning process, place the front of Controller A against the front of Controller B at a distance of 1 cm.
- Press and hold the "TV" button of Remote B, the Learning button light starts to flash gradually from weak to strong and stays on for a long time. Release the "TV" key; TV goes into learning state.
- Press the key you want Remote B to learn (for example, the on/off key), the light of the Learning key will flash and it will enter the on/off learning state.
- Press the on/off button of remote control A for 1 second, if the learning button light of remote B flashes and then stays on for a long time, it means that the function has been learned successfully.
- Repeat steps 3 and 4, press the other function key on controller B, and then press the equivalent function key on controller A to let it learn the other functions.
- When the learning process is finished, press the "TV" button of Remote B once, the learning light will turn off, it will exit the learning state for TV function. Thus, it can be used as a TV remote control.
- If the learning light turns on again, repeat steps 3 and 4 until the learning light turns off, the learning process is completed successfully.
- After learning is finished, remote B can control your TV. Check that all function keys are working properly. If it doesn't work, repeat the learning process one more time.
Work light flashes
- Learning methods for DVD remote control are the same as learning TV remote control.
- To learn about DVD, the DVD button must be pressed once.
- Learning methods for STB remote control are the same as learning TV remote control
- To learn STB, the STB button must be pressed once.
- Note: "A" and "B" are used in the description to make it easier for you to understand.
- The term "A" indicates the HL-1340E remote control that has completed learning.
- The term “ B” refers to the HL-1340E remote control, which needs to learn all keys from “A” with the “one-key copy” function.
- The "one-button copy" function indicator light is the same as the learning indicator light.
- B will learn with a single button, A will be the remote control that has learned all the buttons.
Press TV/SAT/DVD and CH+ on remote A
Press TV/SAT/DVD and CH- on remote control B
- Press any device key (TV, STB, DVD) of "B" and press "CH-” key, the Learning indicator turns on and starts flashing, indicating that "B" has entered the code receiving mode (if no signal is received within 15 seconds, the light will turn off and exits receive mode).
- Direct the transmission terminal of “A” to the transmission terminal of “B”, press any device key (TV, STB, DVD) of “A” and press the “CH+” key. The learning indicator lights up and starts flashing; This indicates that "A" has entered code sending mode and the indicator light will flash.
- When in copy mode, the indicator light of both remote controllers "A" and "B" will flash, when in receive mode, the indicator light of "B" will flash 3 times, indicating that copying is successful. All codes of "A" will flash as "B" When sent to, the indicator turns off automatically.
Now the "B" remote control has received all the codes of "A" and the codes are exactly the same.
Operation of the remote control
Press the opposite device key according to your need, the learning light will turn on and can control normally. Press "TV'' button, the learning light will flash and can control your TV.
Note for remote control
The HL-1340E remote control cannot broadcast instruction code by itself. Accordingly, it cannot be used to control any electrical appliance before learning. On the same page, each button can only store one issued code instruction, that is, the last learned code instruction. In other words, if several buttons on the same page of the HL-1340E panel learn different types/formats of issued code instructions, only the last instruction can be re-issued and all previous ones remain within the scope of the last one.
