| Book Description | ISIS kidnaps two Italian activists and a journalist who have entered Syria with humanitarian medical aid. Held as hostages in the north of Aleppo, the journalist manages to escape from the house of the commander of armed factions. He meets the two women’s Godmother, Fadila, who lives in Milan and returns to Syria, after an absence of 30 years, looking for the two activist women. The journalist narrates part of the story which he experiences with Fadila in Aleppo and its countryside and Idlib with its countryside. The other part of it is his retelling of the events he experiences alone and when he accompanied his father, the merchant, in the 70’s to Aleppo. His Memoires of his love for Aleppo and his passion for a little girl he saw once upon a time there, drives him to find her again through social networks. |
