Betadine Sore Throat Antibacterial Lozenges with cooling menthol, eucalyptus is intended to dissolve slowly in the mouth and release ingredients to suppress cough, lubricate, soothe, and cool irritated tissues of the throat. This one is formulated with double antibacterial action of antibacterial agents like amylmetacresol and dichlorobenzyl which kills the bacteria that cause sore throat and mouth infections. Dichlorobenzyl alcohol is a mild antiseptic for mouth and throat infections. Administration of dichlorobenzyl alcohol lozenges has been shown to generate a reduced throat soreness and to provide pain relief and relief from difficulty in swallowing 5 minutes after administration.
