For best results:

1. Place the base of the microscope against a flat viewing surface
2. Make sure LED lighting is on
3. Start focusing at the lowest magnification setting (60x)
4. Once you see your subject clearly, increase the magnification to the desired level (you may need to readjust the focus slightly)

A note on using MicroBrite Plus in the field: Due to the high magnification, the focal distance of the MicroBrite Plus is very short (maximum 2 mm beyond the acrylic base). It is not possible to focus on objects outside this focus distance. Larger, three Looking at dimensional objects or objects that are not on a flat surface requires a practiced, steady hand, especially since small movements are exaggerated with higher magnification. Therefore, we recommend viewing flatter objects on a flat surface, especially when using this microscope for the first time.
